Warrington Youth Zone
Located in Warrington, England, the Warrington Youth Zone gives young people ages 0-17 and up to ages 25 for those with special needs, a safe place to spend their leisure time. It provides “somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to.”
HEA’s mission to increase access to life-changing services to underserved communities aligns closely with WYZ’s mission to improve the lives of young people in its community. HEA has partnered with WYZ to help scale WYZ’s “Baby Zone” model, which is comprised of numerous evidence-based programs and workshops that provide early intervention to families and youth during the first 1,000 days of life which are well-known to be the most critical for long-term development, health, education, and well-being.
The partnership between HEA and WYZ will also act as an innovative model for collaboration between the United States and United Kingdom. Both partners will develop a network that fosters exchange of successful programming, innovative ideas, and support networks for families and children.

YOOF
Warrington Youth Center’s online platform for youth showcases age-appropriate content with a focus on well-being to reduce loneliness and provide mental health support.
YOOF is an online platform developed by the Warrington Youth Center for young people ages 7-25. It provides a safe environment where they can access peer-to-peer activities and video content that focus on supporting mental health and reducing loneliness.
The content is generated by organizations in the area. Through YOOF, these organizations have the opportunity to share their work and demonstrate their mission across a broader audience. Through YOOF, HEA hopes to leverage the platform to scale its existing partnership with WYZ and tackle multiple social determinants of health.
